Description
Clam Shell Hard Case with wheel bags, foam sandwich padding.
Wheels on one end for rolling short distances. At the airport it is easier to load it onto a luggage cart to move it around.
An oldy but a a goody. Best for drop bar bikes. Can be used for tri bikes if the cockpit can be easily removed.
Not suitable for tri bikes with integrated front ends.
We’ve packed a bikepacking bike in this thing, but it took a lot of disassembly to make it fit.
Bike disassembly: remove pedals, both wheels, and the handlebars. If the bike has a long wheelbase, the rear derailleur may need to come off as well.
