Every bike shop should have a Fit Kit for bike sizing and fitting. The “fit kit” has been the bike fitting tool kit of choice for many bike retailers. Use it on its own or to complement other fit systems like BG fit, Trek Precision Fit, Guru Fit.
The Fit Kit is the basic set of Fit Kit tools which measure the foot length, inseam, torso, and arm length for an objective starting point for bicycle frame sizing and fitting.
This approach to bike sizing develops a service based relationship with every customer that comes through your doors.

Using the Fit Kit System you can easily and quickly train your staff to select the right bike for the customer the first time:
Take the four basic measurements, assess the riders physical condition and goals, calculate an appropriate frame size, saddle height, and reach to the handlebars. Set the saddle height. Measure the reach to the handlebars and see if you need to change out the stem, then invite them to take a test ride. From the floor to the door for a test ride in 10 minutes. That’s why we call it the Quick Fit Kit.
The real value of the Fit Kit is that it can be used as a sales tool; it is easy to learn; promotes confidence for the salesperson because they are not guessing what bike to put a rider on; and promotes confidence in the mind of your customer that they are buying the right size because someone is interested enough in them to take their measurements and calculate their frame size.
No more “eyeballing” or using only stand over clearance to pick a size. The customers expect better, and this offers better.
Reduce returns because “the size is wrong”. Buy the basics and increase your bike sales with confidence knowing you are offering your customer the proper bike frame size right from the start.
Use the Fit Kit to confirm that a rider is on the correct sized bike to start with, and generate recommended seat height, reach, and drop numbers for consideration in the fitting process. Identify fundamental variations in anatomical proportions that are going to influence the riders fitted position. Do this before you start a Fit and you have a baseline to work from.
Use in conjunction with other Fitting tools and technologies like Retul, Guru, BG Fit, Trek Precision Fit, VelogicFit and others.
The Fit Kit INCLUDES:
- Inseam Measuring Device (regular)
