Has helped in getting my foot in alignment with my pedal stroke
Never though that a small part like this would make a big difference in my foot comfort. Worth the money to get a proper foot alignment in the shoe.
I didn’t end up needing these. When I got a fit at a Specialized shop a while back, they put shims in the forefoot of my shoes along with their BG insoles. I thought that maybe the 1.5mm forefoot shim that was used with the BG system might indicate that a 1.5mm heel shim might be useful with the G8 system. But, I noticed that my pedal stroke became less smooth with these installed and I felt a slight knee pain, so I removed them. So, it’s probably better to let a bike fitter decide whether or not you need these.
